WSA makes contribution to Climbing Higher Campaign

MORGANTOWN—The Women Supporting Athletics members of the Mountaineer Athletic Club have chosen to make a $50,000 contribution to the Climbing Higher Campaign in support of the Break Room at the Milan  Puskar  Center.

Members of the Women Supporting Athletics vote on a specific WVU athletics project to support and have managed to donate up to $25,000 per year.

With the help of new members and revenue generated from this year’s Ladies Huddle events, the Women Supporting Athletics is doubling their contribution in 2020.

“To the Women Supporting Athletics, I want to say a sincere thank you for your contribution to the Climbing Higher Campaign,” West Virginia coach Neal Brown said. “We appreciate all that you do. You are some of the most loyal fans that we have and here is to many wins in the future.”

WSA was created in order to help connect women who have a strong passion for WVU athletics. This group has continued to grow and benefits include complimentary admission to such special events as the Ladies Huddle and Basketball Ladies Night.

Members also receive official WSA membership gear and the most unique aspect of this group is the opportunity to vote on what WVU athletics project it wishes to support each year.

Membership is $1,000, including a monthly payment option. Those wishing to join this exclusive group can do so by logging on to give.wvu.edu/WSA.
