Wrestling cubs have great showing in Keyser

KEYSER—The Grafton Bearcub youth wrestling team headed to Keyser last Saturday to compete in the Winter Storm Classic. The Bearcubs had five wrestlers finish in fourth place or better and even had one six year old finish in first place.

JW Nestor placed first in the 6U 60 pound class, while Christian Cox (10U/105), Javon Vanscoy (10U/80) and Ian Glaspell (6U/75) all finished in third place in their divisions. The fourth place finish was earned by Maverick Bartsch in the 8U 50 pound class.

Isaiah Glaspell 4U also traveled with the Bearcubs and gave it his best on the mat.

The Bearcubs will be headed to South Harrison this coming Sunday to wrestle in the Clarksburg Panther Classic. Then the Cubs will return home next Sunday for the Tony Williams Memorial Tournament at Scotty Hamilton Gymnasium.
