Women of the Most High God Has your love for God grown old?

In this day and age we live in, it seems that people don’t care about their neighbors or even those they see in need. It has become all about me and my family. Event people today in families don’t speak to each other and have nothing to do with them. What a shame!

Even Jesus told his brother John behold thy mother and he told Mary behold thy son. Jesus was telling them to take care of each other. Jesus tells us to love our neighbor as ourselves. God has blessed me with a great family. I love each one of them, and I thank God for them every day. I pray for them every day, in the morning and in the night before I go to bed. I would do anything I can for them.

It goes back to the question, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” Yes, I am. Jesus comes first in my life, and then it is my family. I cannot imagine not talking to my brothers and sisters. They are there when I need them.

There is so much bitterness in this world today and the holding of grudges. The bible tells us about the story of the good Samaritan and how he helped the man in need. Others walked right by him, but he saw the man was taken care of. There are people in this world like that today. Our children need to see the real love of God in us Christians. The disciple was told by Jesus the least you’ve done unto them, you’ve done unto me. Don’t shut up your hands of mercy. Hate and bitterness will destroy you and everything around you.

Jesus loves you and he commands us to love one another. You might not like what they do, but you must love them and ask God to help them do better. They must see the light of Jesus Christ in us. I want my life to shine for Jesus every day. Jesus wants to help you. Jesus says we must let our light shine before men so they can see Christ in us and be glorified through our life. It’s not about today. It’s what is required of us by the Lord Jesus Christ.

John 3:16 tells us of God’s love for us. He sent Jesus to us. That is true love. We must love as he loved. Husbands love your wives as Christ loved the church. Love is not selfish. Love covers a multitude of sins; the bible tells us so. Children love your parents. Parents show love to your children. Help someone today. Christians, let God’s love shine through your life today!

Yours in Christ Jesus,

Rev Teresa Reid
