Psalm 119: 165: Great peace have they which love thy law and nothing shall offend them.
John 14: 15: if you love me, keep my commandments.
Psalm 119 is telling us that nothing shall hurt or offend us when we love God and keep His commandments.
There was a movie back in the early sixties called, It’s A Mad, Mad, Mad World. It was a nonsensical movie that didn’t make much sense or get many laughs, but it sort of defines our world today, which doesn’t make much sense and it sure isn’t funny.
This one hates that one, and the other one is ignored under the same circumstances. Greed and hate without reason abound. People hide in fear from a virus they can’t see, yet avoid worshipping God because He is unseen. It’s easy to watch or read the news and begin to get upset. Suddenly you feel offended. At any and everything and anyone and everyone.
Christians! Stop! Don’t get offended. Don’t get angry at another faith, another color of skin or another gender, God made us all and loves us all. When people different than you make snarky remarks at you for who you are, smile. Your Father is the King of the World. (That’s a great song by Natalie Grant, by the way). Look it up on You Tube and listen to it.
He loves us and if we live for Him, and obey Him, we have nothing to fear. The world has gone insane, but Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is in charge. We cannot stop looters, haters, the fearful and unbelieving, nor those with a greedy soul who make merchandise of others. But we CAN tell people about Jesus. Once people fall in love with Him, they no longer hate and they don’t suffer offenses at the words of those who have no clue what truth is.
So, when you go to bed tonight, remember, no matter how much garbage you heard on the news, don’t be offended. You are on your way to Heaven. The Rapture will happen soon and God loves you. He is your Father and He is the King of the World. Until next time!
