Woman of the Most High God: Whose caring for our children today?

Do you have children in your church that honor God’s word? Some children don’t know what Sunday school is. I’ve been passing gospel tracks out to children and they tell me they have never been to Sunday school. Yes, that’s in Taylor County. I couldn’t believe my ears. It broke my heart.

Where are the parents and where is the church? The Bible tells us to train up a child in the way that he or she should go. We need to take our children to church.

My mom took us to Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Bible study on Wednesday. We didn’t even have a car; we walked a quarter of a mile to church. I thank God for a mother like that, I know what is right, and I know what is wrong.

You wonder why children act like they do. They cuss, rub snuff, drink. Where do they get it from? They are underage.

Have we lost our love for our children? We have many missing alerts. Children are missing and some travel several miles before they are found.

We need to get back to God and his road map to guide us to eternal life. You are responsible for your children. We have ballgames on Sunday and the field is full of children and parents. They aren’t in church. What is wrong with this picture?

It’ time to get back to the old paths we read about in the Old Testament. Wall the straight and narrow way. Jesus must be first, families second and the church third. We need to get our priorities in the right place.

Children know how to play video games, talk on cell phones, but what do they know about Jesus? Church will be having Vacation Bible Schools. Take your children there, and they will learn about Jesus. Church camps will be good for children. They will meet friends and learn about Jesus.

Parents, it’s time to take control of your children’s’ lives. Dads, you are the head of the household. What parts are you playing in their lives? Mom, what about you? Let’s talk to the children in our community and bring them to Jesus. We must save our children.

Today is the day of salvation. Come to Jesus while you still can.

Yours in Christ Jesus,

Rev. Teresa Reid
