It’s easy to love when people treat you right, but it’s a different story when people do and say things to hurt you. We are to love as Christ loves us. His love is true. He cares about you and me. So much so that he gave his life on Calvary. He had no sins of his own but took our sins to the cross. He died and arose on the third day. He is standing at the right hand of the Father making intercession for you and me.
Sometimes it is hard to love and care about people who hurt you and don’t treat you right. Jesus can help us love those people. We can as him to give us the love in our hearts like he has. Jesus commands us to love our neighbor as ourselves. Do you love yourself? If we love ourselves then we will treat others as we want to be treated. If we don’t love one another, we can’t love Christ.
How can we not love those that we see and say that we love Christ, whom we haven’t seen? God is a God of love and mercy. We may not like what people do or how they live, but we must love them enough to lead them to Christ. John 3:16 tells us how much Jesus loves us. We must love as Christ loves. Husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church. We are to love god with all of our minds, hearts and our souls.
The world we live in is full of hate. Love covers a multitude of sins, that’s what the Bible tells me. We must pray for one another so that they won’t be lost. It’s no longer I that liveth, but Christ that lives in me. Let us love one another. Don’t hold grudges, they will only destroy you. This year let us seek Christ’s will in our lives, so we can be like Christ. Always remember, Jesus loves you and wants the best for you.
Yours in Christ Jesus
