We’ve got so much to thank God for. He has kept us during this virus, and he has supplied all of our needs. But, what have we as Christian been doing? We should be seeking God like never before. We should be praying and asking God to heal our land. II Chronicles 7:14. We should be studying his word and seeking his direction for our lives. But the question is, are we?
It seems as if people are so unthankful. We are getting checks from the government, and what are we doing with them? We are to be wise and good stewards of our money. Yes, we have been through a time like never before. But are we wiser now than when we first started with the virus?
We can’t change things, but God can, and he desires to if only we will let him. God has been merciful to us. He has never left nor forsaken us. He has everything in control and has always been in control. Not man, but God.
Are we our brother’s keeper? Yes, we are. How have we helped our neighbors in need? Do we forget about this and just tend to our own business? This should be drawing us closer and closer to God. We should have a much larger vision for souls. We should have more compassion for the lost. We should be working harder to win them for Jesus, because we know he’s coming back soon, real soon.
Have we used this time to draw closer to God? Are we more hungry and thirsty for a mighty power of God in our country and in our town? Work for the night is coming and no man shall work. Preachers get on fire for God. Let the gifts be used in and through you. Jesus wants us hot! Not cold or just lukewarm. As preachers and Christians, we don’t want anyone’s blood on our hands. Let’s take everybody to heaven with us that we can. At least shown them the way the rest is up to them. We have sat long enough, church. We have work to do, so let’s get to it.
Yours in Christ Jesus,
