Jesus would give a report card today, what would it show? Would it show marks that we can be proud of? What about our obedience to God? What about our outlook towards God? What about the things concerning God? What about our prayer life? What about our time spent studying God’s word?
Are we receiving passing grades, what about our love for others? How is our attitude toward God? What do you and I think our report reveals? Are we making passing grades? Are we failing in some areas?
These are many questions we must ask ourselves. My friend, it’s time to take inventory of our lives. Jesus is coming back soon. We do want to be pleasing to God. We want to walk in his footsteps. Don’t we? new line I want my life to be pleasing unto God. Yes, I failed him many times and came short of the glory of God. I thank God that he is a forgiven God. That he doesn’t throw the clay away. He is the potter, and we are the clay.
Jesus wants to help us be what we can be in hand. He has great things in store for our lives, if only we allow him to lead us. We need to pray every day. We need to read his word every day. And to be a light to those around us. We need to be faithful to a Bible believing church. We do need the fellowship of other believers.
The Bible tells us that “I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.” Let’s make our reports pleasing to God. My desire is to please my heavenly father. I must walk in the ways of the Lord, and I want to walk in the calling he has called me to walk in (my ministry). how’s your report today? My friend, I can’t even walk without Jesus holding my hand. I need Jesus help today. What about you?
Yours in Christ Jesus,
Rev. Teresa Reid
