Woman of the Most High God: Don’t let the devil steal your joy!

The devil does his job well. He wants to keep you afraid and full of worry. Jesus came that you would have life abundantly. The joy of the Lord is your strength.

Things in our everyday life will make you feel you can’t go on, that your life is no longer worth living. But because Jesus lives, we can face tomorrow. All fear is gone. The devil came to destroy and kill and to steal your joy. Yes, we all have trials, but Jesus talks and walks with us as we go through these trials.

The psalmist David tells us to bless the name of the Lord continually and loud to Jesus, he will bring you out with joy. He wants to give you peace. Not as the world gives but the joy of the Lord. There is a song that says, “I’ve got peace like a river, joy like fountain, love like an ocean in my soul.” Sweeter gets the journey every day.

God is not the author of oppression and depression, the devil is. You must keep your eyes on Jesus. He tells us to come unto him all that are weary. And he will give you rest. We need to go to the enemy’s camp and take back what the devil has stolen from God’s people: their joy, their peace and their happiness.

We are not to live in fear. But Jesus hasn’t given us the spirit of fear, but a spirit of love and a sound mind. He is our joy in the midst of the storm. We can lay down at night and rest because Jesus is always with us and will never leave nor forsake us.

Have you lost your joy? God can restore unto the joy of his salvation. Anxiety attacks are not from God. Panic attacks are not from God. They are from the devil. This world we live in is in bad shape, but we can have peace and joy no matter what takes place around us.

Ask the Lord to give you back your joy, today. Jesus is my joy. He gives me strength for the road that I must walk each day. I could never live without him in my life. What about you?

Yours in Christ Jesus,

Rev. Teresa Reid
