As people continue to break the rules, not using proper safety procedures like washing hands, staying safe distance between others, cases keep rising. Look at all the new cases after young people came back from Myrtle Beach. These are local, not hundreds of miles away. They were next door in Preston County. Malls are open, vacations have begun. Not only does this endanger the person, but their families and their coworkers. Is that fair to other people?
The Bible tells us to obey those that are over us. We do need to wear our masks, wash our hands and do what we are asked to do. These things are for your own safety. People are living in fear. They won’t even leave their homes. Even Christian people are afraid. But, people aren’t praying like they should be, and asking God to have mercy on us and change things back to the way they should be. If that is to happen, we must see the conditions God has laid out for us.
II Chronicle 7:14 says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” My friend, I’m not so sure things will ever be the same again. At least, not the way we’re used to, the way the used to be. Only God knows, but we must pray for his will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. We read that in the Bible in the Lord’s Prayer.
It must be God’s way and not man’s way. The economy is in a mess. Unemployment is on the rise. Fighting and killing are on the rise. There is no peace anywhere. The Bible tells us there will be no real peace until Jesus takes his children home to be with him. When people cry peace, safety, then comes sudden destruction (1 Thessalonians 5:3). This country can’t go on like she is. Things are so unstable. You can’t count on anything but God. Schools, colleges and even churches have been closed for a long time now. Will they ever be the same? Who will you put your trust in? I’ll put mine in Jesus Christ. He’s the only answer to today’s problems.
Yours in Christ Jesus,
