Jesus says in his word, “My Peace I give unto you, not as the worth giveth.” There is no peace in this old world. There is confusion on every hand and uncertainty. Nothing is for sure anymore. We don’t know what is going to happen next. Even our leaders can’t agree on anything anymore. But, Jesus is a sure thing. He has everything in control. He watches over us night and day. He knows all and he sees all.
People’s hearts are failing with fear. The bible tells us that will happen in the last days. These are surely the last days. We are in perilous times. People are discouraged no knowing where to turn and to whom they can turn to. I am so glad I can go to Jesus any time. No, I’m not perfect, just forgiven by the blood of Jesus Christ.
Fear is all around us. We ask the question many times, “How much longer Lord?” Then he reminds us he loves us and will take care of us no matter what comes our way. If I didn’t have Jesus, I couldn’t make it on my own. He’s a good God. He is my Good Shepherd. And, yes, he is my peace. He calms the storms in my life. Today, he is calling you to come into his peace. You can’t make it on your own.
Things are going to get worse before it gets any better, but Jesus’s grace is sufficient. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Jesus is the reason for living. You can enjoy a good life in Jesus. Peace like a river can flood your soul. Joy unspeakable and full of glory. And then you are promised a home in heaven. Its doesn’t get any better than that.
Read Psalm 23, and you can find peace in this scripture. Read Revelations 21, John 14:27, 2 Thessalonians 3:16 and I Corinthians 14:33. These scriptures can assure you of real peace, but it only comes from Jesus. If you are searching for peace, call upon the name of Jesus today. He’ll meet you there.
Yours in Christ Jesus,
