Jesus came to do the will of his Heavenly father. He prayed not my will but thine be done. In the Lord’s Prayer, “thing will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” God’s will is perfect. What is God’s will for our lives? To walk uprightly before our God, to love our neighbors as ourselves, to do unto others as we would have them to unto us. The bible tells us what the will of our father is for our lives.
We know that God the father, Jesus the Son and God the Holy Spirit are one. We call it the holy trinity. They all work together as one. God’s will is for you to prosper and be in health. God wants good for you. He will supply our every need. He will fight your battle for you. We pray not my will but thine, O’ Lord.
We have become the sons of God. We are now of a royal priesthood, a chosen generation, a holy nation, a peculiar people. We are to shew forth the praises of God who hath called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. (I Peter 2:9) We must do things not as man does, but we must do the will of the Father. Not our ways, but God’s ways. We must find the mind of Christ in our lives. If we continue to do things our ways, we are asking for trouble.
God’s will is better than ours. If we do the will of the Father, we a are promised a mansion in Heaven. We can meet our loved ones again. No sickness, but most of all, no more parting. We will live together for all eternity. It pays to do the will of our Heavenly Father instead of doing our will. The choice is yours. Will it be God’s will, or will it be your will? As for me and my house, I will serve the Lord.
Yours in Christ Jesus,
