West Virginia Wesleyan softball camp being offer

Register before June 3 to recieve event t-shirt

BUCKHANNON—West Virginia Wesleyan College’s Softball program will be hosting a summer Softball Camp next month, with some prestigious Division II names on the list of instructors. 

The camp, which is slated for June 13-15, on Culpepper Field, will be led by Head Coach for West Virginia Wesleyan, Steven Warner, along with his assistant Vickie Rohr. 

Additionally, Marissa Leslie, Head Coach for Shepard University; Sara Scoone, Head Coach for Glenville State College and Tori Pierucci, pitching coach for Glenville State, will also be on hand. 

The camp will be broken down by participants age, with those ranging from seven-years-old to 12 getting to work from 9:00 a.m. until noon, on the abovementioned dates, while those ages 13-18 will take part in the camp from 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Collectively, the Softball Camp will provide nine hours of offensive and defensive training from college level coaching, drills for pitching, catching, hitting, infield, outfield, game strategy and much more.

Registration is required at a cost of $100 per camper. While walk-ins will be accepted, completing the registration process before June 3 will guarantee a camp t-shirt. 

Those participating should be sure to bring with them their glove, cleats, tennis shoes, bat, helmet, catching gear, softball mask, personal water bottle and face mask each day of camp.
