Violet Lee Teets, 69, of Simpson, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Rosewood Nursing Home, with her loving family by her side.
She was born September 5, 1947, in Flemington, a daughter of the late Everett James and Charlotte L. Hatten Merritt.
Violet loved being with family and talking with her many friends, she also loved her flowers.
She is survived by one son, Barrick Samuel Teets and wife Jennifer Simpson, one granddaughter, Maranda Teets, one half-sister, Myrtle May Reed, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, four sisters, Virginia Smith, Fannie Drummond, Catherine McKinney, and Mary Bartlett, one half-brother, Olan Merritt.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Thursday, July 6, 2017, from 4:00-8:00 p.m., and on Friday, July 7, 2017, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, July 7, 2017, at Bartlett Funeral Home, with Rev. Lois Sandy, officiating.
Interment will follow at IOOF Cemetery, Flemington.
