GRAFTON—Grafton’s own Hattie Tucker, a junior, has decided to take an important step in her future, and has verbally committed to the Auburn University Equestrian Team.
Riding has been a passion for Tucker since she was a young girl. It is her dream to one day be on a NCAA Equestrian team.
That dream became a reality when Head Coach Greg Williams contacted her last week to tell her that she was a prospect for his team.
William, Mary Morrison Meneely and Jessica Braswell work to recruit talented young riders and some of the finest student athletes in the country to their program.
“Hattie Tucker, we thank you for your commitment to the finest NCAA Equestrian program in the land,” the group shared. “Welcome to the Auburn Family and WarEagle!”
The Auburn Equestrian Team is currently the number one team in the nation. The school holds five NCEA National Championships, with the latest being awarded this past season.
Although verbally committed, Tucker will sign her letter of intent in November 2019, allowing her to continue her education and equestrian talents. Congratulations, Hattie!
