Travis S. Bucklew

Travis S. Bucklew entered this world, as a ray of sunshine, on February 10, 1985.

Those who were fortunate enough to be shined upon by Travis, knew what it was like to look at JOY.  His smile was contagious and made you jealous for the happiness he possessed.   His broken body only attempted to contain the heart of love he shared with others.

He entered the family of Ruth and Cam Bucklew in 1996 and was officially adopted in 2001.   He immediately changed the lives of all those around him for the better.  He caused you to look at life differently.  His adoption caused a whole lot of love to grow and develop in the 26 years we were fortunate enough to have him in our lives. He is already missed by his sister, Tonya Wolfe and her husband Darren, and their children Ryan, Peyton and Skylah, along with his sister, Misty Morris and her husband Jeremiah, and their children Payden and Jace. This world seems a little darker without him here, but Heaven seems all the sweeter because he’s there!

2 Timothy 4:7 says, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”  Travis finished his Earthly race on October 17, 2022, and he is now running the Streets of Gold in Heaven.  I say without doubt that he is safe with Jesus today, for Travis’ love for Jesus was palpable.

In lieu of a memorial service, we ask that you take this time to contemplate eternity.  There IS a Heaven to gain!  May the Lord find us ready.

Memorial donations may be made to Gideons International or the Missionary Fund at McConkey Chapel, where Travis faithfully attended.

Private family services will be held.

The Donald G. Ford Funeral Home is honored to serve the Bucklew Family in their time of need.
