TLSP Breakfast with Santa success

TAYLOR COUNTY—Breakfast with Santa at Tygart Lake was a roaring success, according to organizers.

Tygart Lake State Park Foundation members reported that approximately 200 individuals were served in the two-and-a-half-hour time span, something they say they were happy to see.

In addition to breakfast with Santa, Tygart Lake State Park Naturalist Jacob Jackson provided children with a Christmas card craft during the event and foundation member Jenny Bobela passed out cookies and kept the hot chocolate flowing.

“We would like to thank Karol Wilson for her donation of free children’s books,” foundation members voiced. “We would also like to thank everyone who attended this year’s breakfast, making it such a huge success.”

In addition, the Tygart Lake State Park Foundation would like to thank those who have supported their endeavors throughout the year.

“Without the generosity and help from the community, we wouldn’t be able to host the events that we do,” said foundation members. “With that being said, we would like to announce that because of one generous donor, who has given us $1,000, our Summer Concert Series will return this year!”

For those interested in the work of the Tygart Lake State Park Foundation, their next meeting is scheduled for February 22, 2022, at the lodge, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend!
