Thomas Ray Isabella Sr., 82, of Flemington, WV, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the United Hospital Center after a short illness. He was born in Flemington, WV on September 17, 1934, a son of the late Samuel Isabella Sr. and Josephine Isabella.
He was preceded in death by his wife Deloris “Sue” Isabella on May 24, 2015, whom he married on July 6, 1958.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas Isabella Jr. and partner Brenda Cain of White Hall and Mark Isabella and wife Elizabeth of Dunbar, WV. He is also survived by one grandson, Christopher Isabella and wife Adrienne Duckworth of Morgantown and one brother, Samuel Isabella Jr. and wife Shirlene of Bridgeport, along with many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Jennie Isabella and three sisters, Rose (Pete) White, Flora (Phil) Richardson, and Mary (Ira) Marks.
Mr. Isabella graduated from Flemington High School in 1958 and spent the next 43 years as a self-employed grocer and landlord. He was a long-time member of All Saints Catholic Church in Bridgeport.
Family and friends will be received at the Bradley J. Mayle Funeral Home in Flemington, WV on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 3:00-8:00 p.m., with a Vigil Rite at 7:30pm.
Catholic Funeral Rites will be presided over by Rev. William A. Anderson on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at the Flemington I.O.O.F. Cemetery. The family would like to thank St. Barbara’s Memorial Nursing Home in Monongah and Brookdale/Maplewood Assisted Living in Bridgeport, as well as hospice services at UHC for all their kindness and help during this difficult time.
