GRAFTON—Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate togetherness and friendship and to be thankful for everything you have in your life. One local nursing home celebrated the annual tradition with friends and loved ones and gave thanks over a delicious meal.
On Tuesday, friends and family members joined the residents at Taylor Health Care Center (THCC) as they gathered in the decorated activity room to enjoy a Thanksgiving Dinner with all the fixings.
Activity Director Joyce Moore welcomed the families to the nursing home and thanked them for coming.
“We are excited to have everyone here this evening,” Moore expressed. “We are one big happy family here. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!”
She shared that over 100 people came to spend the evening with their loved ones and it was great to see everyone there.
To help serve that many guests Boy Scout Troop Six donated their time to help serve the dinner.
The scouts come to the center every year to serve the meal and in addition, they help with Christmas Dinner and many other activities and events.
“We are very grateful to have them here helping. They do a wonderful job,” she expressed.
Moore shared that she would like to thank the Dietary Department for preparing the delicious meal, the Maintenance Department for help to sitting and taking down the table and chairs and the housekeeping department.
“I would also like to say thank you to all the staff, volunteers and families of Taylor Health Care Center and GCH for making their residents Thanksgiving dinner so wonderful,” she expressed.
