TAYLOR COUNTY— Summer in in full swing, but some local athletes have begun setting their sights on the fall season. For those who are ready to get back on the field this autumn, Taylor County Soccer Association (TCSA) has opened registration for the fall soccer season.

The TCSA offers children as young as four years old a chance to take to the field and learn the fundamentals of soccer as the sport continues to grow in Taylor County. The league is hopeful that with enough registrants, they will be able to field teams for those up to age 18.

The registration fee for those playing in the U4 division is $30, while the cost to participate in the U5 and older divisions is $60 for the first player, and $55 for each additional sibling.

Unsure which division your child should play for? An age division chart can be found on the TCSA Facebook page,

For those a little less tech savvy or those who would prefer to sign up in-person may do so during the association’s in-person sign ups.

The first of registration events will be held at Anna Jarvis Elementary School’s pavilion, on Saturday, July 30, from 9:00 a.m. until noon.

Parents and guardians are asked to please bring with them a copy of each registered child’s birth certificate, for age verification purposes.

The Taylor County Soccer Association is excited to get things underway but have announced that season start dates will be determined at a later time.

Those with questions are encouraged to reach out to the association via Facebook at the link provided above, where they may message the page.

In addition, TCSA has announced that there is still time to get in on their 2022 World Cup Summer Camp, which will be held August 1-4 from 5:00-8:00 p.m., at McCauley Fields, located at 3760 Knottsville Road, just outside of Grafton.

The fun-filled days of the World Cup Summer Camp are geared toward players six to 11 years of age.

During the week, each day will involve a different theme, where participants will focus their skills on dribbling, passing, shooting and goalkeeping. Campers will work on foot skills, and hone their skills through role play of small sided games and developmental concentration games.

The week will end with a friendly competition, as teams try to claim the World Cup title.

The cost of the camp is typically $95, but those registering early will receive a discount of $5, making registration for each child $80.

Registration may be completed online at The link may be found on the Taylor County Soccer Association’s Facebook page.
