TCMS Lady Knights fall to East and Elkins

FAIRMONT—The Taylor County Middle School girls basketball team was back on the road Tuesday night, as they traveled to the east side of Fairmont to take on the East Fairmont Hornets.

The Knights were dominated by East in the first half, as they found themselves down 36—10 at halftime. The Lady Knights would win the final two quarters, but in the end fell to East 48—28.

Jerra Halbritter led the Lady Knights with seven points, followed by Robbi Jacobs with six.

The remaining Knight points were scored by Eva Jones (4), Ally Mayle (4), Kambree Delaney (2), Elizabeth Uhl (2), Kylie Newlon (20 and Leah Jackson (1).

The Lady Knight JV team was a winner on the night, as they defeated East 27—20.

The TCMS points were scored by Taylor Minard (6), Jodie Keene (5), Mayle (4), Tayler Rudy (4), Halbritter (4), Neveah Swisher (2) and Newlon (2).

On Monday night, the Lady Knights lost to Elkins 24—16.

Jacobs led the Knights with six points against Elkins.

The rest of the points came from Jones (3), Uhl (3), Jackson (2) and Delaney (2).

The TCMS JV team also lost 16—15.

The points were scored by Minard (11), Swisher (2) and Keene (2).

The Lady Knight varsity team will be back in action on Tuesday night at home against Lincoln. The game will begin at 6:00 p.m.
