TCMS Knights fall to Bucs

BUCKHANNON—The Taylor County Middle School football team was back on the road again for their next contest and this time it was with Buckhannon Middle School.

The Knights played hard, but could not manage to get the ball across the goal line.

At the half, they were only down 8—0, but when the final horn had sounded the Knights would fall 32—0.

Dakota Vanscoy led the Knights with 13 carries for 66 yards, followed by Cole Mooney with seven carries for 37 yards.

The remaining yardage came from Aaron Barker (4-13), Bryson Bish (4-21) and Charles Hoskins (1-(-4)).

Through the air for the Knights, Bish was 2 of 5 for 13 yards with one interception. Alex Hess was the only Knight to catch a pass, and he caught two for 13 yards.

D. Vanscoy also led the Knights on defense with six tackles and one fumble recovery.

Ben Leach had four tackles, Kenny Humphries had three tackles and Isaiah Vanscoy had an interception.

The Knights will be back in action tonight for their last game of the season, as they host the Philippi Bulldogs.

The game is set to kick-off at 7:00 p.m.
