TCMS Knights defeat Elkins 12-3


ELKINS—The Taylor County Middle School Lady Knights continued their road schedule last week, as they headed to Elkins to face the Hornets.

The Knights struck first, as they put up four runs in the first inning and never looked back, dominating the game 12—3.

Jordan Niggemyer led the Knights, as she went four-for-four from the plate, including and inside the park homerun.

The remaining TCMS hits came off the bats of Frederique Maloley (2), Kaileigh Spiker (2) and Madison Smith.

The TCMS runs were scored by Addie Tucker (3), Spiker (2), Niggemyer (2), Maloley (2), Anna Stottlemyer (2) and Eva Jones.

Maoloey dominated on the mound for the Knights, as she allowed two runs on only one hit. She also recorded 11 strikeouts and seven walks.

The girls will be back in action tomorrow night, as they travel to Westwood in Morgantown for a 5:30 p.m. start.
