BUCKHANNON – The Taylor County Middle School boys soccer team did something last Monday night that they had never done before. The Knights defeated Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School in boys soccer action. The Knights used a last minute goal to defeat the Bucs 6 to 5.
The Knights played inspired all evening and with less than 20 seconds to go in the game scored the game winning goal. The TCMS goal came on a penalty kick from Garin Chambers to the foot of Adrian Joyce to make the score 6 to 5.
The TCMS goals were scored by Jude Minard (2), Joyce, Landen Miller and Layne England. The Knights assists were credited to Chambers, Landen Miller, Levi Miller, England and Isaac Lough.
Braden Palmer was in goal for TCMS and made several incredible saves in the contest.
The Knights were back in action last night at home against Elkins. The girls game will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the boys will start at 7:00 p.m.
