TCMS girls on short end of 40—35 score against West Fairmont


FAIRMONT—The Taylor County Middle School girls basketball team played a rare away game, last Thursday night, as they traveled to Fairmont to battle with West Fairmont Middle School.

The Lady Knights gave a valiant effort, but in the end lost to West 40—35.

The Lady Knights had a slow first half, as they only managed 15 points on the board, while West was able to put 25 points on their side.

The Knights played much better in the second half, as they outscored West 18—15.

The Lady Knights were led by Meredith Maier with ten points,  followed by McKenzie Mayle with six.

The remaining Lady Knights in the scoring column were Frederique Maloley (5), Bria Jacobs (3), Shayla Poling (2), Skylar Wooddell (5), Mia Chambers (3) and Alyssa Satterfield (1).

The TCMS girls will be back in action next Thursday night as they will travel to East Fairmont to take on the Hornets.
