TCMS comes out on top of a high scoring affair

GRAFTON- The TCMS Lady Knights Softball team hosted the Lady Husky Pups from Barrackville in Marion County last night.

The game would carry a lot of offense from both sides in a high scoring affair for both teams in which the Lady Knight would eventually emerge victorious.

The first half of the game would see the Lady Knights dominating the Lady Pups for most of the game. At the end of the fourth inning the score would be 11-2 in favor of the Lady Knights.

The second half of the game would see a rally from the Lady Pups who would go on to tie the score deep into the game in the bottom of the sixth inning with the score 16-16.

The final inning would begin a scoring surge by the Lady Knights which would see a hit by each girl in the lineup ending the game with a final score of 22-19.

“This was an amazing back and forth game. We held our own and didn’t back down when it got tough. These girl’s perseverance is second to none. I am extremely proud of them,” exclaimed an excited head coach Joe Maller at the end of the game.

The Lady Knights will be in action again on May 19, as they travel to face the Lady Bulldogs of Doddridge County.
