GRAFTON— Fall ball season is right around the corner, and Taylor County Little League (TCLL) is now accepting registration for those interested in playing, with the hopes of gaining enough interest to boast multiple teams for each division.
The league is offering C Ball (coach pitch) for baseball players ages six to eight, as well as Minor and Major league teams (player pitch) to players ages nine to 12. An age chart can be found on the league’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/taylorcountylittleleague, to help determine which division a child should play in based on age.
According to league officials, games and practices will be held two to three nights a week, with days of the week varying based on field availability.
Each team’s home field is at Anna Jarvis Elementary, with away games being playing in bordering counties.
The cost per player is $25. Those with children interested in hitting the diamond this fall should privately message the aforementioned Facebook page or send a text message to 304-669-6128, containing the player’s name, date of birth, parent/guardian name and a contact phone number no later than Friday, August 13 by noon.
Following the close of registration on Friday, league officials will determine if Taylor County has garnered enough interest to boast teams for the season and will establish the number of teams that are able to be formed for each division.
