Taylor County U10 “Storm” soccer team finish their season

TAYLOR COUNTY—The Taylor County Soccer Association U10 “Storm” soccer team finished their season recently with a win and a 14-4-4 record, scoring a total of 71 goals in the process.  By comparison, they only scored 32 goals last season in the spring, but allowed less than two goals per game this season. The boys finished second in the Summersville “Kick or Treat” tournament after not allowing a single goal in preliminary play, before losing to a Marion County team in the championship by the score of 2-0.

The boys improved greatly from the beginning of the season and many have signed up to continue playing soccer at various locations in the area for this winter.

“We are really looking forward to the spring season to see how much they can continue to improve,” said Storm assistant coach Bryant McCarthy, who along with head coach Ryan Stallings, continue to help the youth of Taylor County develop their soccer skills.
