Taylor County Sheriff's Department busts house on High Street

TAYLOR COUNTY—After receiving a complaint in reference to drugs at a location on High Street, the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department not only cleared the home, but made arrests in the process.

According to Sheriff Terry A. Austin, on Thursday, his office received a complaint from the owner of the residence of 101 High Street, stating that they needed assistance with the removal of individuals who were trespassing on the property.

Austin, along with multiple deputies from his department, met the owner at said residence and after obtaining consent to search the home, three individuals were arrested.

Talerie Stemple and Daniel Allman were both apprehended and charged with possession of a controlled substance—methamphetamine, while Edward Grinnan was picked up on a warrant from Taylor County Circuit Court.

During the search, Austin seized multiple controlled substances, as well as drug paraphernalia.

“Additional charges are pending that came about due to the search,” voiced Austin. “The house has been tagged with no trespassing signs, and anyone caught in or on the premises will be arrested and charged with trespassing.”

He is asking that if individuals notice any suspicious activity at the residence, that they contact the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department by calling 304-265-3428 or the non-emergency number at 304-626-4900.
