Taylor County reports 20 confirmed cases of COVID-19 – bringing the total count to 490

Outbreak announced within the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department

(December 26, 2020 - GRAFTON, WV), Doctor David Bender, County Health Officer today announced that the Grafton-Taylor County Health Department has confirmed Taylor County’s 471st thru 490th new positive cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) involving Taylor County residents.

Patients are adults and minors. Epidemiological investigation to include contact tracing is currently underway.

This brings Taylor County to a total of 86 active Covid-19 cases.
Some of these new cases involve an outbreak at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department.
We remind everyone that we are conducting FREE daily community testing at our mobile drive-thru site on US Rt 119 in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church of Grafton (DO NOT CALL THE CHURCH FOR ANY TESTING INFO. Questions should be directed to us at 304-265-1288) – WE ARE NOT TESTING ANYMORE THIS WEEK. NEXT WEEK WE WILL ONLY BE TESTING MONDAY, the 28th AND TUESDAY, the 29th.
