Taylor County reports 2 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 today, bringing the total count to 173 - 11 Active, 154 Recovered, & 8 Deaths

(November 5, 2020 - GRAFTON, WV), Doctor David Bender, County Health Officer today announced that the Grafton-Taylor County Health Department has confirmed Taylor County’s 172nd and 173rd new positive cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) involving Taylor County residents. All patients are adults, with one also related to the ongoing outbreak at Grafton Leer Mine. Epidemiological investigation to include contact tracing is currently underway. This keeps Taylor County at a total of 11 active Covid-19 cases, as 2 more were added to the recovered category.

We remind everyone that we are conducting FREE daily community testing at our mobile drive-thru site at the First Baptist Church of Grafton on US Rt 119, Monday thru Friday from noon to 2pm, with Flu Shots available upon request.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, everyone is urged to follow best health practices as issued by the Governor’s Executive Orders and outlined by the WV Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR).
