Taylor County reports 2 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 today, bringing the total count to 140

County COVID case count totals are now 24 Active, 108 Recovered, & 8 Deaths

TAYLOR COUNTY--(October 1, 2020), Doctor David Bender, County Health Officer today announced that the Grafton-Taylor County Health Department has confirmed Taylor County’s 139th and 140th new positive cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) involving Taylor County residents.

The patients, who are in their 50’s and 60’s, are currently in isolation at their homes. Epidemiological investigation to include contact tracing is currently underway.

After today’s case review leading to updating our overall and active count, this brings Taylor County to a total of 24 active Covid-19 cases.

We remind everyone that we are conducting FREE daily community testing at our mobile drive-thru site at the First Baptist Church of Grafton on US Rt 119, Monday thru Friday from noon to 2pm.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, everyone is urged to follow best health practices as issued by the Governor’s Executive Orders and outlined by the WV Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR).
