(November 10, 2020 - GRAFTON, WV), Doctor David Bender, County Health Officer today announced that the Grafton-Taylor County Health Department has confirmed Taylor County’s 178thnew positive case of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) involving a Taylor County resident. Patient is an adult, who is associated with the Leer Mine outbreak (now totaling 13, 5 of which are Taylor County residents). Epidemiological investigation to include contact tracing is currently underway. This brings Taylor County to a total of 13 active Covid-19 cases, as 2 more entered the recovered category.
We remind everyone that we are conducting FREE daily community testing at our mobile drive-thru site at the First Baptist Church of Grafton on US Rt 119, Monday thru Friday from noon to 2pm, with Flu Shots available upon request (except tomorrow, November 11th we will only be conducting Covid-19 testing).
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, everyone is urged to follow best health practices as issued by the Governor’s Executive Orders and outlined by the WV Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR).
