Taylor County regrettably announces the 8th Covid-19 related death

Health Department reports 127th and 128th cases

TAYLOR COUNTY—Doctor David Bender, County Health Officer, today announced that the Grafton-Taylor County Health Department has confirmed Taylor County’s 8th death related to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) involving a 76-year-old female Taylor County resident.

The report of a COVID-19 death is a solemn reminder of the seriousness of this disease.

the Grafton-Taylor County Health Department has also confirmed Taylor County’s 127th and 128th positive cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) involving Taylor County residents. The patients, who are in their 20’s and 40’s, are currently in isolation at their homes.

Epidemiological investigation to include contact tracing is currently underway.

This brings Taylor County to a total of 13 active Covid-19 cases.

The Grafton-Taylor County Health Department strongly encourages everyone to practice the measures in place for their protection. These measures include frequent hand washing, face coverings to include a mask, avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth, avoid close contact and cover coughs and sneezes.

Special measures must also be taken to protect individuals at increased risk of severe disease – people who are older or have other medical conditions like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, chronic lung disease, and others.
