Taylor County Middle wins match against Heritage Christian

GRAFTON —The TCMS Lady Knights would take the court against an up-and-coming Heritage Christian Patriot team this past week. This match would be played at the GHS facilities and gave some of the eighth-grade girls a preview of were they could be playing next year.

The first set would find the Lady Knights fielding the nerves that comes with the season opening game. Those nerves would soon settle as the Lady Knights took the lead in the first set and never looked back. Kasey Alexander would provide five points for the Knights and Ashlynne Bolyard would add another six points.

The second set would see a lot of infighting among the Lady Knights as it seemed that confusion and blame would set the tone for a rocky second set. The Lady Knights would keep it together long enough to secure the second set and the season opener victory, with Ruby Larew contributing six points and Jeri Wolford also adding another six.

The Lady Knights will be back in action this upcoming Monday, September 13 as they travel to take on Mountaineer Middle.
