Taylor County Middle School XC competes in Indian Run Invitational

BRIDGEPORT—The Taylor County Middle School Knights cross country team competed in the Indian Run Invitational, at Charles Pointe this past weekend.

Both teams had outstanding performances, with the boys capturing third place and the girls grabbing fourth place. The teams competing in the invitational were Doddridge County, Elkins, Bridgeport, Buckhannon Upshur, Notre Dame, WI and Taylor County.

In the girls' division, the top Lady Knight was Kendra Rogucki, who finished fourth, while teammate Avrie Kelley placed sixth.

The remaining runners were Sierra Walls (24th), Chloe Saltis (26th), River Sipes (29th), Emma Fridley (30th) and Alyssa Rogucki (31st).

In the boys' division, Ryan Maier placed fourth, with a time of 12:45, and Matthew Hellmondollar placed sixteenth.

The remaining runners for the Knights were JT Veltri (17th), Cayden Boylen (18th), James Hellmondollar (23rd), Gabriel Spino (30th) and Jacob Maier (32nd).

The next race for the Knights will be this Thursday night, in Morgantown, at University. The start time was not listed on the schedule.
