Taylor County Little League to host in-person sign-ups today

GRAFTON—Baseball fans will soon be packing the stands, as the annual Fall Ball Season quickly approaches, and local players can claim their spot on the diamond during sign-ups.

Taylor County Little League (TCLL) will be holding registration days for those interested in playing, with the hopes of gaining enough interest to boast multiple teams for each division.

The league is offering C Ball (coach pitch) for baseball players ages six to eight, as well as Minor and Major league teams (player pitch) for players ages nine to 12.

An age chart can be found on the league’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/taylorcountylittleleague, to help determine which division a child should play in based on age.

According to league officials, games and practices will be held two to three nights a week, with days of the week varying based on field availability.

Each team’s home field is at Anna Jarvis Elementary, with away games being played in bordering counties.

Those with children interested in hitting the diamond this fall should head over to The Gourmet Express, located at 1216 West Main Street, for in-person registration.

League volunteers will be welcoming interested individuals this Saturday, July 30, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. In addition, sign-ups will also be held during that same time frame next Saturday, August 6.

The cost of registration for each participant will be $45.

Following the close of registration, league officials will determine if Taylor County has garnered enough interest to boast teams for the season and will establish the number of teams that are able to be formed for each division.

Those with questions are asked to please contact the Taylor County Little League’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/taylorcountylittleleague.
