Taylor County Biddy League and Instructional signups announced

GRAFTON— After the COVID-19 Pandemic caused the cancelation of last year’s Taylor County Biddy League Basketball season, organizers are both hopeful and eager to allow the area’s youth to hit the court once more, and recently announced signs ups for the 2021-2022 season.

Taylor County Biddy Basketball and Instructional League sign-ups will take place on Saturday, November 6 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and again on Sunday, November 7 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the St. Augustine Social Center in Grafton.

The league is open to all boys and girls in kindergarten through sixth grades.

There is a $25 fee for those participating in the instructional league, while the cost of Biddy League is $40 for the first child and $20 for each additional child of the same family. The cost will include the player’s game shirt.

All players, including returning members, must sign up and tryout. Tryouts are scheduled for Saturday, November 13 at 9:00 a.m.

Tryouts and games for this league will all take place at the St. Augustine Social Center.

In addition, to prepare players for the upcoming season, the organization will also be hosting a basketball camp at the social center for those in grades second through sixth.

The camp is slated for Monday, November 8 through Wednesday, November 10 and the cost is $10 per participant.

Those taking part will be split up by age and grade with the second and third graders having camp from 5:30-7:00 p.m. and fourth, fifth and sixth from 7:00-8:00 p.m. each evening.
