Spirit of Grafton contest winners announced

GRAFTON—This year, during the annual Spirit of Grafton Celebration, staffers from the Mountain Statesman set up a table to get out into our community, while offering some chances at cool prizes.

During our time downtown, we met with and talked to many members of the community.

Those who stopped by the table were invited to participate in four separate basket raffles, and children were asked to take part in a coloring contest.

We are proud to announce the winners of this year’s Spirit of Grafton contests.

Congratulations to Mikayla Goodwin, who took home a cute watermelon themed basket, complete with a watermelon tea dispenser, cups, plates and an adorable watermelon sign.

Teresa Reid was the proud winner of our beach basket, which contained a beach towel, a travel cup, some dry shampoo to keep those beach flocks gorgeous and other items to make her beach day compete and a bag to pack it all in.

After some deliberation, we were happy to choose Brayden Hoach as our coloring contest winner. For his hard work, Brayden took home an art kit and a coloring book to keep his coloring skills sharp.

We would like to take the time to say thank you to everyone who stopped by to see us during the Spirit of Grafton.

Keep an eye out for us during some of the community’s upcoming events! You never know, you could be featured in the paper as one of our winners!
