Small outbreak at nursing home gives Taylor County its fifty-seventh confirmed case of COVID-19 – (21 Active & 35 Recovered & 1 Death)


TAYLOR COUNTY--Doctor David Bender, County Health Officer today, Wednesday, August 5, announced that the Grafton-Taylor County Health Department has confirmed a small outbreak at Rosewood Nursing home with Taylor County’s 57th positive case of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) involving a Taylor County resident.

The patient, who is in their seventies (70’s) is currently in isolation.

Epidemiological investigation to include contact tracing is currently underway.

Rosewood, Grafton-Taylor County Health Department and DHHR Public Health Command are working together to complete facility wide testing of all staff and residents. Thorough deep cleaning is currently underway, with additional guidance being provided.

This brings Taylor County to a total of twenty-one (21) active Covid-19 cases.
