Senior Citizens gain entrance to county sporting events at no cost

GRAFTON—Thanks to the support of Taylor County voters with the passing of the School Excess Levy during the January 2021 election, Taylor County senior citizens will be able to support local athletes at no admission cost.

Those 60 years of age and older, residing within the county will be admitted free to all athletic and fine arts events with all Taylor County Schools for the 2021-2022 school year.

This, however, does not include fundraising events, and an identification card is required to gain entry.

Cards will be available in the office at Grafton High School on Tuesday, August 24 through Friday, August 27, between the hours of 12:00-3:00 p.m. Those wishing to obtain a card should bring with them their driver’s license or another form of ID confirming residency and age.

In addition, a table will be set up at the first home event for each sport offering the same opportunity for senior citizens to receive their free admittance passes.
