Sandy Pals start thinking about the upcoming Christmas holiday

FELLOWSVILLE—Sandy Pals 4-H meeting held September 9th was called to order by Vice President Gavin Jennings. 

Song leader Reagan Jennings led members singing “WV Boys and Girls” followed by the 4-H pledge. Violet Jennings filled in for the secretary and read the August minutes. Addison Bolyard gave the treasurer’s report.

4-H members Hunter Hershman, Lyndsay, Morgan and Emily Bucklew, Gavin Jennings and Lilly Hershman attended the Laurel Mountain/Fellowsville Watershed meeting to help serve at our fund raiser meal. 

October 6-12 is National 4-H Week and members will be wearing a 4-H shirt to showcase the 4-H program.  There will be a County Talent Show at the Preston Arts Center on Sunday, 2:00 p.m., featuring 4-H members and 4-H alumni and other talents.

The club members have scheduled a litter pick up along their Route 92 adopted roadside for the State Adopt a Highway Fall cleanup.

Reagan Jennings celebrated a September birthday and received a gift bag and members singing the birthday song.

Addison Bolyard shared information for the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox program and passed out boxes for members to fill and return to the November 4-H meeting.

The election for the 2019-2020 4-H club officers results are in.  President Lyndsay Bucklew; Vice- President Gavin Jennings; Secretary Violet Jennings; Treasurer Emily Bucklew; Reporter Morgan Bucklew; Game Leaders: Hunter and Raven Hershman; Song leaders: Aries Jennings, Reagan Jennings, Cordell Bolyard, and Bristal Bolyard. 

Announcements on the agenda were listed as: Buckwheat Festival deadline dates, Meat/Cheese order forms, Haunted Camp, Teen Leader meeting and a Holiday Paint Party.

The next Sandy Pals 4-H meeting will be held at the school cafeteria on October 14th at 7:00 pm.
