Rosetta (Gough) Snow


Rosetta (Gough) Snow, 79, of Pekin, passed away at 1:39 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2021 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, Ill.

Born April 3, 1942 in Grafton to Adren and Violet (Losh) Gough, she married Alan Foster Snow on Oct. 31, 1965 in Kansas City, Kansas. He died Jan. 9, 2001.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Fred Gough and three sisters, Annetta Bolyard, Martha Gurney and Bonnetta Rutherford.

Surviving are two sons, Kevin (Rachel) Snow of Tremont, Ill. and Chad (Noriko) Snow of Tokyo, Japan; her grandchildren, Abigail Snow of Urbana, Sophia, Isabella and Lilian Snow, all of Tremont and Yuki and Yoshiki Snow of Tokyo, Japan; one sister, Patty Irons of Farmington, Ill. and a brother, Ronald (Grace) Gough of Fairmont, Ill.

Rosetta graduated from Grafton High School.  She worked at various medical offices and Grafton Hospital throughout her career.  Later in life she worked as a florist for Grafton Floral in Grafton.  She used her creative talent to bless friends and family with beautiful wreaths and floral arrangements.

She attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Groveland, Ill.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her time with her grandchildren.

Her memorial service will be at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2021, at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Groveland, Ill..  Pastor Jonathan Chadbourn will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Friday at the church. 

Inurnment will be at Grafton National Cemetery in Grafton, W. Va. at a later date. 

Memorial Contributions may be given to The Evangelical Alliance Mission for Team Japan, P.O. Box 969, Wheaton, Ill.  60187-0969.
