Rosalene Edna (Shaffer) DeBarr, 87, of Grafton, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at her residence with her daughter by her side.
She was born September 6, 1930, in Rowlesburg, daughter of the late Roy E. and Flossie Williams Shaffer.
She was preceded death by her husband, Robert DeBarr.
Rosalene graduated from Rowlesburg High School. She was member of the Trinity United Methodist Church .
She retired from Westinghouse/North American Phillips and worked at the Hazel Atlas. Rosalene loved working in her yard and flowers, being with her grandchildren, family, friends and neighbors.
She is survived by one daughter, Connie Strotman and husband Mark, Grafton; four grandchildren, Miranda “Mandy” Stevens and Kim, Owensboro, KY, Jennifer Jackson and Jacob, Grafton, Zachery Stevens, Bradenton, Fl, Victoria Strotman and Logan, Pittsburgh, PA; four great grandchildren, Leah, Alyssa, Camden, and Payton; one brother, Doyne Shaffer, Parsons; along with three special step-great grandchildren, Cody, Kaelyn and Elijah Drainer, and many special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Delbert Shaffer, Brown Shaffer, and Mervin Shaffer; one sister, Betty Waybright and infant children.
Friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Thursday, January 11, 2018, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 12, 2018, at Bartlett Funeral Home, with Rev. David Spence officiating.
Interment will follow at Woodsdale Memorial Park.
