GRAFTON—A single vehicle accident halted traffic on Lincoln Street during the morning hours on Wednesday.
According to the responding officer’s report, the driver of a red 2014 Chevrolet Malibu disclosed that he was traveling northbound when he fell asleep and crossed over the center line. The driver’s vehicle traveled up the embankment and rolled over onto its top in the southbound lane.
Gobel’s Towing was called out on rotation to tow the vehicle, which suffered extensive damage, from the scene.
The driver, who was wearing his seat belt, reported no injuries and refused medical transport from the scene following the accident.
No citations were given because the driver’s vehicle was the only property damaged in the event.
The Grafton Police Department investigated the accident. The Taylor County Emergency Medical Squad and the Grafton Fire Department responded to the scene, as well.
