Roger Lee Drummond, 71, of Flemington, WV, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Philippi on September 18, 1947, a son of the late Leroy and Bessie (Florence) Drummond.
Roger is survived by his long-time companion of over 30 years, Fonda L. Osborn; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Osborn at home; one brother and two sisters: Robert Drummond (Maggie) of PA, Betty Drummond of Grafton, and Mary Clemmens (Richard) of Kingwood; numerous nieces and nephews including: Willa Ann Drummond of Clarksburg, Carol Dulley (Thomas) of Simpson, Patty Smith (Greg) of Philippi, Virginia Board (Rick) of Grafton, Mary Judy of Philippi, and Junior Ray Drummond of Philippi.
In addition to his parents Roger was preceded in death by four siblings: Junior Drummond, William Drummond, Willis Drummond, and Virginia Long.
Roger worked in maintenance at the former Mountaineer Greenhouse in Flemington, where he retired after 30 years of service. He enjoyed watching TV especially the Sci-Fi channel and working on cars. He was a harder worker and very good father, that will be greatly missed.
Family and friends will be received at the Bradley J. Mayle Funeral Home in Flemington, WV, on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:30 am.
Interment will follow at the Flemington I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
