GRAFTON—The Grafton Blueville Church of the Nazarene welcomes Pastor Mike Adams and his wife Donna, to the church and the community.
On June 10, the church held an installation service for Pastor Mike Adams.
During the installation, they also gave recognition to the former Pastor Jeff Haught and his wife Barbra.
One church member shared that the Haughts have been a wonderful blessing to the church and that there are no words to describe their work and they went on to say now, the Adams will build beautifully on what has been accomplished.
The Adams commented that they are getting settled in with the church, and they have been very busy with many holidays and events at the church.
Adams shared that their ministry has taken them to many places including Texas, Colorado, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia.
Before coming to Grafton, he shared he was a Pastor at a church in southern West Virginia.
Adams shared he studied at Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colorado and his father was a Pastor in Salem, West Virginia.
“I know my father would be very proud that we are in West Virginia, back at his roots,” expressed Adams. “We are loving being close to our grandchildren and spending time with them.”
The Adams have three children and 11 grandchildren. Eight of their grandchildren live in West Virginia and the other three in Ohio.
He shared that his grandson Richard was diagnosed with B Cell ALL (Acute lymphoblastic Leukemia) on January 6, 2017.
“It’s been great to be here with our grandson,” expressed Adams. “He is a trooper. We are so grateful and praising God that he is doing better.”
The Adams have come to love Grafton as if it was their home.
“We love Grafton. It has a hometown feel and the people have been wonderful,” commented Adams.
Adams would like to remind the community that starting Sunday, July 29, through Wednesday, August 1, from 6:00-8:00 p.m, the church will be hosting Vacation Bible School.
“The theme for this year will be moose on the loose,” commented Adams. “Amy Andrews is the Children’s Director, and she does a wonderful job. We are really excited to see what she has planned.”
