Orval D. Sinnett, 88, of Harrisville, WV, departed this life on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
Orval was born April 18, 1930, in Ritchie County, WV, a son of the late Herbert and Jeno (Moats) Sinnett.
For 40 years, Orval was a welding instructor for Babcock and Wilcox BMW in Barberton, OH. He was also a 35 year member of Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons #568 of Barberton, OH and he attended the Bethany United Methodist Church. He greatly enjoyed feeding the deer, hunting, and going to yard sales.
He is survived by his wife, Maryln Sinnett; daughter, Debra Carroll (George) of St. Clairsville, OH; daughter, Pam Slaton (Kevin) of Grafton, WV; son, Thomas Wyckoff (Andrea) of Madison Heights, VA; grandchildren, Corriann Conrad of Chicago, IL; Melissa Carroll of St. Clairsville, OH, and Kendra Slaton (fiance’ James Newlon) of Grafton, WV; great grandchildren, Penelope Carroll, George and Elsa Conrad, Michael and Brandon Wyckoff; sister, Wilma J. Delancey (Bus) of Sistersville, WV and sister in law, Aribell Sinnett of Harrisville, WV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Edward, Herbert, Denver Sinnett and sisters, Augustine Sinnett, Betty Sinnett, and Mary Geraldine Tustin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at the Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, WV, with Rev. Don Newlon and Pastor Lonnie Colebank officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the Harrisville IOOF Cemetery.
