GRAFTON—The Invite-A-Friend Summer Sunday Evening Worship series continues at the First Baptist Church in Grafton, and this Sunday’s performer will delight listeners as he tickles the ivories.
Accomplished organist and local Rick Kennedy will showcase his talents on August 21, helping to spread the word of God through music.
Kennedy has served as the organist of the Church of the Covenant in Grafton, along with the Christ Episcopal and St. Marks Lutherans churches in Clarksburg.
Kennedy graduated from Salem College with a B. A. Degree in Music Education and a major in Pipe Organ. He has been a successful music educator and band instructor at the Belington Middle School where he retired after 40 years of service.
Now retired, he showcases his talents for the Lord, and the folks at the First Baptist Church are excited to welcome him to their worship series.
“Gifts such as he has been given are in short supply, so the opportunity to hear quality music of this caliber is rare,” said a series organizer.
“All are welcome and cordially invited to attend this special evening of music,” the church member added. “We would love to have you!”
The First Baptist Church is located on Route 119 South just outside of Grafton, at 2034 Webster Pike.
