Opening Day set


GRAFTON—The Taylor County Little League is gearing up for a slamming season and have made plans for their opening day ceremonies.

Grab your popcorn and peanuts and get ready for some baseball, as the youth of the county hit their way to a winning season. Opening day will occur on Saturday, April 14, and activities are set to begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by Major League play beginning at noon, when the Pirates play the Royals. Don’t miss the 4:00 p.m. game, where the Orioles will meet up against the Athletics.

The title “B” Division players will take to the field at 2:00 p.m., as the White Sox take on the Dodgers, and again at 6:00 p.m., when the Phillies battle the Yankees.

Minor League action will kick off at noon, on the minor league field, as the Astros take on the Nationals. Then, at 2:00 p.m., the Mariners will battle the Rangers.

Head to the ball park and celebrate the start of another season of youth baseball!
